About Me

My History

My name is John Overly, originally from Dublin, Ohio. I am 55 years old and have been a technician for over 35 years, performing 30,000 repairs throughout my career. 


I began my journey in large, high-volume dealerships in the central Ohio area, where I worked my way up to become a master technician specializing in wheel alignment and chassis repair. 


After a decade at major dealerships, I decided to open my own Honda repair shop, Utopia Auto Care in Powell, Ohio, where I focused on servicing Honda and Toyota vehicles along with offering premium vehicle maintenance. 


In 2018, after 23 years in business, I sold that shop to move south in search of warmer weather and a more relaxed lifestyle. I built a new home in the Longs area and opened a small-scale Honda shop right around the corner, where I also provide oil change services.

When visiting my Honda repair shop for repairs or maintenance, I take absolute pride in my work every step of the way. With over 35 years of experience backing me up, I have a proven track record diagnosing and estimating failures correctly the first time.
